Product description:

White powder on cement base.

When mixed with water it results in a pasty elastic mortar which, through hydration and drying in any layer thickness, hardens into an almost tension-free, breathable, water-, salt- and weather-resistant mass.

Preparation of the substrate:

The substrate may be dry or damp, but must be rough, firm, free of dust and other loose particles. Wallpapers, poorly adherent or poorly cured paints and loose plaster should be removed.

In the interior, before applying the product, the substrate should be cleaned by removing lacquer, oil, plastic and other residues of similar densities such as waxes, oils and greases.

All smooth and slightly porous surfaces must be treated with ARDEX P82 primer as an adhesion bridge.

On the exterior, before applying the mortar, all coatings must be completely removed and smooth surfaces must be roughened. Metals should be given an ARDEX EP 2000 corrosion protection, which at the same time will have the function of a bonding bridge.

Instructions for use:

Pour clear water into a clean container and shake vigorously. Wait 1 minute and shake again until a homogeneous and creamy mixture is obtained.

To mix 25 kg of ARDEX F11 powder, approx. 8 1/2 liters of water are required.

At a temperature of 18°C to 20°C, the mortar can be used for approx. 30 minutes in a working phase without mixing with sand, applying a layer of several millimeters and, when thinned with sand, in any thickness. It sets in approx. 1 1/2 hours, by hydration and drying at normal temperatures, to a state that allows further treatment, such as sanding or plastering with ARDEX F11 again.

For layers larger than 5 mm, the ARDEX F11 mortar must be reduced with washed sand with a particle size of 0 - 4 mm, up to one third of the mortar volume.

Cracks in the substrate can be sealed with ARDEX F11 mortar.

Fine tile and plaster cracks should be enlarged before filling with ARDEX F11 mortar. In the event of construction movements, the possibility of new cracks cannot be excluded.

In case of doubt, we recommend carrying out tests beforehand.

ARDEX F11 should be applied externally and internally at temperatures above 5 °C.

Post-treatment:

After complete drying, ARDEX F11 can be painted with lime-resistant colors. Complete drying depends on the thickness of the mortar bed and the weather conditions in each case. A still wet base may cause efflorescence.

Manufacturers' recommendations for use of cement base paints should be followed, regardless of whether full-surface or partial applications are involved.

Warnings:

Contains cement. Irritating to eyes and skin. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Use appropriate protective gloves.

In set state is physiologically and ecologically harmless.
