Field of application:
For smoothing and plastering precast, concrete, cement, as well as insulation and retaining boards prior to upholstery and painting work.
Filling of large deep surfaces in walls and ceilings.
Filling of cracks, holes, as well as grouting of plasterboards and other construction boards.
Plastering of limestone walls and flat elements.
Sealing joints in cement-finished ceilings.
Laying gypsum plasterboards and gypsum plasterboards.
Interior use.
Composition:
White powder based on synthetic gypsum.
When mixed with water, a soft, paste-like mortar is obtained which, when hardened, adheres to walls and ceilings, whether they are made of masonry, concrete, cement, lime, plaster, cement plaster or construction boards.
ARDEX W600 has a high filling capacity and does not sag.
ARDEX W600 is a breathable material and is suitable as a substrate for subsequent painting or gluing.
Substrate preparation:
The substrate must be rough, dry, hard and free of dust, dirt or other friable elements. Remove loose wallpaper, paint and plaster.
Lacquers, oils, varnishes and similar substrates must be carefully cleaned before application.
All non-porous and waterproof substrates must be pre-treated with ARDEX P82 primer. Porous substrates must be treated with ARDEX P51, diluted with water 1:3.
Directions for use:
Pour clear water into a container and mix the powder, stirring vigorously. Wait 1 minute and stir again until a homogeneous, creamy mixture is obtained.
Approximately 7.25 litres of water are required to mix 15 kg of ARDEX W600.
After a rest time of approx. 1 to 3 minutes, stir again. The mortar is ready for application for approximately 5 hours.
The mortar is applied without sagging from joints, holes or cracks. The surface is thus free of cracks.
If in doubt, carry out a preliminary test. Work ARDEX W600 at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C.
Post-treatment:
For subsequent painting or gluing, the applied layer must be dry.
However, depending on the filling capacity of the paint, an undercoat can be applied to improve the uneven drying of the subsequent coating.
Finishes under waterproof bathroom cladding and water-resistant finishes, e.g. in damp rooms, should be applied with ARDEX F11.
It is possible to dispense with the use of protective strips between plasterboards, provided that the corners of the plasterboards are well laid out and allow the joint to be completely filled (minimum thickness 3 mm).
