Product description:

ARDEX EP2000 is a very flowable, solvent-free, two-component multifunctional epoxy resin.

The 6 kg package consists of 4.27 kg A-component and 1.73 kg B-component.

After hardening, ARDEX EP2000 is resistant to water, chemicals, frost and weathering.

Mechanical resistance is achieved within 24 hours of laying at temperatures of +18° to 20°C.

Chemical resistance:

ARDEX EP2000 is resistant to aqueous salt solutions and alkalis. It is also resistant to a significant proportion of dilute mineral and organic acids and organic solution liquids. Resistance to chemical agents is determined 7 days after application.

Instructions for use:

Using a punching tool, pierce the cap and pour the contents of the hardener (component B) into the resin (component A). Then remove the lid and mix the two components with a special stirrer.

Apply ARDEX EP2000 with a short nap roller.

After mixing the ARDEX EP2000 resin, it is workable for 30 minutes at a temperature between 18°C and 20°C.

Note that higher temperatures shorten the working time and lower temperatures lengthen the working time.

Always use ARDEX EP2000 at temperatures of not less than 5°C.

The mode of application will be different depending on its function:

1.- Acting as a blocking agent for residual humidity and rising damp:

The substrate must be mechanically resistant, free of any loose particles and the moisture level of the substrate must be less than 4.5%.

Apply ARDEX EP2000 in two cross coats. The second coat can be applied approximately 6 hours after the first coat has been applied. Check that no bubbles appear in the second coat. If the subsequent application is a self-levelling mortar or adhesive mortar, the second coat should be liberally sprinkled with 0.3-0.6 mm dry silica sand.

In interiors and for the laying of light flooring, when the second layer is dry and hard, ARDEX P82 primer can be applied in place of the dusting of aggregate.

2.- Acting as a hardener for anhydrite and concrete floors:

The substrate must be dry, porous, stable and free of loose particles. Fluid anhydrite screeds must be polished. Apply ARDEX EP2000 generously to the substrate. A single application is sufficient. On very absorbent and porous substrates, if necessary, a second coat should be applied 6 hours after the first coat has been applied. If the substrate is subsequently coated with a self-levelling mortar or a glue mortar, follow the instructions above.

3.- Acting as a filler for cracks and separation joints:

In concrete, cement and anhydrite screeds. The substrate must be dry, resistant and free of loose particles. Deepen by drilling holes in the fissure up to 2/3 of the thickness of the screed, separating the holes by 10 cm. The minimum diameter of the holes shall be 12 mm. Make a cut with a circular saw perpendicular to the direction of the crack and, if necessary, reinforce with metal staples.

Before filling with ARDEX EP2000, vacuum and blow out cracks, holes and cuts to remove all dust and dirt.

ARDEX EP2000 has a low viscosity and has a high penetrating power.

Fine, non-continuous cracks can be filled with ARDEX EP2000 without using the product as a filler. As a general rule, ARDEX EP2000 can be mixed with Portland cement or with the powder from the self-levelling mortar or tile adhesive itself or with fine silica sand.

In the case of 5 mm wide cracks, we recommend a mixing ratio of approximately 1 1/2 parts ARDEX EP2000 with the filler powder or sand. For wider cracks, higher dosages of filler should be sought.

Sprinkle the treated areas with silica sand while the work is still fresh.

4.- Acting as a bonding bridge:

Apply ARDEX EP2000 with a short nap roller on the substrate and sprinkle dry silica sand (0.6 -1 mm) evenly over the ARDEX EP2000 when it is still fresh.

After complete hardening, sweep and vacuum up any unbonded sand residues before applying any bonding agent (cement glue, etc.).

In the case of bonding different screeds, apply ARDEX EP2000 generously on the substrate and then place the fresh mortar on top of the fresh mortar.

then place the fresh mortar on top of the ARDEX EP2000 resin while it is still fresh.

Recommendations:

After mixing the two components of ARDEX EP2000, use immediately. During the end of the use time of ARDEX EP2000 and due to its strong reactivity, a heat build-up will develop.

The higher the amount of resin remaining in the container, the higher the heat will be.

Do not touch the drum. If necessary, put the lid on without closing it and holding it by the handle, place it in a cool place or outside.

Precautions:

Irritating to eyes and skin, depending on sensitivity.

Dangerous to health if swallowed.

In case of prolonged exposure may cause burns. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. At

In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.

doctor.

Mixing should be carried out with protective goggles and gloves. These safety precautions must also be observed when applying the product.

If the product is applied indoors, ensure that the room is well ventilated. After drying the product is physiologically and ecologically neutral.
