Description

EC1    Efecto Arduraid    Marcado CE

Self-levelling mortar for coating, levelling and levelling interior floors that will serve as a support for adhering ceramic pieces or light coverings.

Trafficable in 2 hours. Applicable up to 10mm thick. Cement-based and pumpable, with low EC1 Plus emission level.

Mortar for coating, levelling and levelling floors

  • With ARDURAPID ® effect
  • For thicknesses from 1 to 10 mm
  • Suitable for use with underfloor heating
  • Pumpable
  • Trafficable after 2 hours
  • Cement-based
  • Prepares the surfaces to be covered with a single coat
  • Does not crack, not even in thick layers
  • Low emission level, EC1 Plus

Field of application:

Coating, levelling and levelling interior floors that will serve as a support for adhering ceramic pieces or light coverings.

  • Cement screeds and concrete floors
  • Calcium sulphate screeds
  • Cast asphalt screeds
  • Magnesite screeds

and other substrates suitable for laying textile and elastic floor coverings as well as parquet when using SMP adhesives such as: wakol ® MS230, ARDEX AF 480.

Characteristics:

Grey powder with special cements, selected mineral fillers and synthetic materials with good dispersion capacity.

When mixed with water, it results in a soft, very fluid and self-levelling mortar. Pumpable. It can be worked for 45 minutes and is practicable after 2 hours.

The mortar hardens by hydration and dries quickly into a mass with almost no tension, so that a crack, even in very thick layers, is practically impossible.

Preparation of substrates:

The substrate must be adequately prepared, levelled, dry, firm, solid, rough, without cracks or fissures and free of disintegrable elements. Calcium sulphate screeds must be sanded and vacuumed.

Cracks and joints must be treated appropriately with low viscosity resin such as ARDEX P 10 SR.

To avoid the appearance of air bubbles and improve adhesion on porous substrates, these must be prepared with ARDEX P51, a primer diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio.

This layer must be applied over the entire surface using an industrial broom. Rollers, mops or spray equipment must not be used in its application. Care must be taken to prevent the formation of puddles; if any are present, they must be removed using a broom or brush.

Highly absorbent substrates will require the application of two layers of ARDEX P51 to avoid the appearance of bubbles or craters. A first layer of ARDEX P51 diluted 1:3 with water must be applied. Once the first layer is dry (min. 1 hour) the second layer can be applied diluted 1:1 with water.

Once applied, ARDEX P51 must be allowed to dry for at least 1 hour before applying ARDEX CL 100-Neu.

Suitable primers from the ARDEX range must be used, depending on the condition of the substrate. Consult the corresponding technical data sheets for each product.

On non-absorbent substrates, ARDEX P82 or ARDEX P4 primers should be used. If ARDEX P82 is used, it should be applied with a short-nap roller, leaving a thin transparent pink layer, preventing the formation of puddles and thick layers. Once applied, ARDEX P82 should be allowed to dry until it forms a sticky film (at least one hour) before pouring the self-levelling agent. When working with ARDEX P82, it is recommended to use cleats (football boots) instead of spiked shoes to avoid damaging the primer film.

If ARDEX P4 is used, it should be applied uniformly with a short-nap roller, brush or by spraying.

The primer must be allowed to dry for at least 1 hour, until a thin, white layer is obtained. ARDEX P4 can be applied on absorbent substrates diluted with water at 15%.

If in doubt, carry out a prior test.
