REVOCEM® Innovation
Two in one, unique!
Very fast drying without tension in combination with high final strength, that is REVOCEM® . With the new REVOCEM® binder, an exceptional mortar has been developed that offers:
- Long workability time (20 minutes).
- Almost immediate subsequent setting.
- Ready for laying coverings in 60 minutes.
- High final strength (up to 50 N/mm²) with almost no shrinkage.
Preparation of substrates:
The substrate must comply with the requirements of DIN 18365 (floor covering work) and DIN 18356 (parquet work). In particular, it must be level, permanently dry, firm, stable, free of loose elements, separating agents, cracks, and resistant to tension and compression, or must be prepared accordingly. Cracks and joints must be treated appropriately and professionally, for example with: ARDEX P 10 SR, wakol® PS205 or ARDEX EP 2000.
Calcium sulphate screeds must be sanded and vacuumed.
To prevent the formation of air bubbles and improve adhesion, absorbent or porous substrates must be primed. Suitable primers, such as ARDEX P 52, must be used depending on the type of substrate from the ARDEX range.
ARDEX K55S can be applied directly to rough substrates such as concrete, cement screed, chipboard or particle board, cement-based levelling layers or mortars, as well as to firmly bonded waterproof adhesive residues.
ARDEX K55S can be applied directly to substrates consisting of old, sanded tile coverings and terrazzo floors. The substrate must be thoroughly cleaned and primed with ARDEX P 4 READY. The technical data sheets for the primers must be observed.
Instructions for use:
Pour clear water into a clean container and stir vigorously to mix the required amount of powder until a lump-free mortar is obtained. Apply the levelling mortar with a trowel or rake to the desired layer thickness.
To mix 20 kg of ARDEX K55S powder, approximately 4.8 - 5 litres of water are required. Mix the amount of mortar that can be worked into the mortar within 1/4 hour.
ARDEX K55S can be used for approx. for 1/4 hour at a temperature of +18 - +20°C. Lower temperatures lengthen the application and coating time, higher temperatures shorten it.
After 60 minutes, the mortar can be walked on and coated at temperatures between +18°C and +20°C. Sanding can be carried out after approximately 2 hours.
ARDEX K55S can be applied without spreading in a single layer up to a thickness of 10 mm.
General rule:
On dense or slightly porous substrates, apply at least 1.5 mm thick. For levelling work with a thickness of more than 10 mm, and up to 20 mm, ARDEX K55S mortar can be extended as follows:
Mixing material |
Mixing ratio |

Washing |
Grain size |
Material |
Sand |
Sand Sand |
0-3 mm. 0-8 mm. |
1 vol. 1 vol. |
0,3 vol. 0,5 vol. |
If necessary, carry out any subsequent repairs immediately after the time of walking on the floor (1 hour).
Even thick layers can be covered within one hour of applying the mortar.
Apply ARDEX K55 at temperatures above +5°C and below +30°C.
Do not use in areas with permanent humidity.
Level the layers of cast asphalt with ARDEX K14, a product suitable for this purpose.
Parquet and cork should always be applied the following day (24 hours).
When laying coverings, observe the instructions for use of the adhesives and the covering manufacturer.
Precautions:
Contains cement, alkaline reaction, therefore protect skin and eyes. In case of contact, rinse well with water. In case of contact with eyes, also consult a doctor.
Once dry, it has no physiological or ecological effects.
GISCODE ZP 1 = Product containing cement with a low chromate content.
