Field of application
Levelling and renovation of concrete floors, cement and sand screeds, anhydrite or ceramic or natural stone coverings.
Creation of smooth surfaces for the placement of ceramic pieces, natural stone, technical floors, light coverings, ... in residential and commercial buildings subject to medium or light traffic.
Leveling in radiant heating systems.
Maximum safety thanks to fiber reinforcement.
For interiors.
Composition:
Grey powder with special cements, reinforcing glass fibers and synthetic materials with good dispersion capacity.
Mixed with water, it results in a soft, very fluid and self-leveling mortar. It can be worked for 30 minutes and can be walked on after 3 hours.
The mortar hardens by hydration and dries quickly into a mass with almost no tension, so that a crack, even in thick layers, is practically impossible.
Preparation of supports:
The support must be dry, hard, solid, rough and free of disintegrable elements.
To avoid the appearance of air bubbles and improve adhesion on porous substrates, these must be prepared with Ardex P51, a primer diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio. This layer must be applied over the entire surface using an industrial broom. Rollers, mops or spray equipment must not be used in its application. Care must be taken not to leave puddles; if there are any, they must be removed with a broom or brush. Once ARDEX P51 has been applied, it must be allowed to dry for at least 1 hour before applying ADICEM TR.
Highly absorbent substrates will require the application of two layers of ARDEX P51 to avoid the appearance of bubbles or craters. A first layer of ARDEX P51 diluted 1:3 with water must be applied. Once the first layer is dry (min. 1 hour) a second layer diluted 1:1 with water can be applied.
Once the last coat of ARDEX P51 has been applied, it must be allowed to dry for at least 1 hour before applying ADICEM TR.
On non-absorbent substrates, ARDEX P82 or ARDEX P4 primers will be used. If ARDEX P82 is used, it is applied with a short-nap roller leaving a thin transparent pink layer; no puddles or thick layers should be left. Once applied, ARDEX P82 is allowed to dry until a sticky film is generated (at least one hour) before applying the self-levelling agent. When working with ARDEX P82, it is recommended to wear cleats (football boots) when playing with spiked shoes so as not to damage the primer film. If ARDEX P4 is used, it will be applied uniformly with a short-nap roller, brush or by spraying. The primer must be allowed to dry for at least 1 hour until a thin white layer is obtained. ARDEX P4 can be applied on absorbent substrates diluted 15% with water
On damp substrates, ARDEX DPM 1C primer should be used (see Technical Data Sheet).
In case of doubt, carry out a prior test.
Layer thicknesses:
On concrete floors, cement slabs and smooth, non-porous substrates that have been properly primed, a layer thickness of 5 to 30 mm of ADICEM TR can be used.
If maximum flatness is required for thicknesses greater than 20 mm, it is recommended to carry out the work in two phases, applying a first layer of filler with ADICEM TR, and a second layer of between 5 and 10 mm of ADICEM TR, priming with ARDEX P51 (diluted 1:3 in water) between layers.
