Field of application:
Interior and exterior walls, ceilings and floors.
Primer and bonding agent for absorbent and non-absorbent substrates, e.g. for PVC coatings:
PVC coatings have to be well bonded and free of waxes or other materials that could
can create a barrier to adhesion.
- - Concrete.
- - Cement or lime plasters. Consumption: approx. 150 - 500 g/m2 (depending on substrate).
- - Mortar or calcium sulphate screeds. Drying at 20°C: approx. 60 minutes.
- - Ceramic and stoneware. Terrazzo and natural stone.
- - Dispersion paints. none
- - Adhesives for light, old, non-water-soluble screeds. Classification according to classification of hazardous substances
- - Packaging: PVC coatings.
- - Storage:
- - Cementitious self-levelling compounds.
Description:
Solvent-free synthetic resin dispersion, solvent-free, with additives and special fillers, non-dripping and non-spattering.
White colour. Its application leaves a rough surface ideal for plastering, rendering and self-levelling, even on smooth or low absorbent substrates.
Substrate preparation:
The substrate must be dry, firm and free of dust, grease or any product that may pose a barrier to adhesion. It must also be sufficiently resistant to withstand the subsequent uses to be given to it.
Application:
ARDEX P4 READY comes ready to use and can be applied with a short-nap roller, brush, or by spraying.
Apply evenly over the entire surface. Let it dry until a thin white film is obtained before starting subsequent work. Drying time will be approximately 15 - 60 minutes at +20°C, depending on the absorption of the support.
Lower temperatures and very dense supports can lengthen drying times, high temperatures and very absorbent supports can shorten these times.
On absorbent supports ARDEX P4 READY can be applied diluted 15% with water.
Please close open containers tightly and use the product in the following days.
The temperature of the support must be higher than +5°C and lower than +30°C.
Recommendations:
As a primer on wooden supports, paints, asphalt, magnesite screeds and existing polyurethane, epoxy or bitumen-based adhesives, the use of the ARDEX P82 bonding bridge is recommended. Self-levelers and water-soluble adhesives (e.g. sulfite-based) must be removed.
PVC coatings must be well adhered and free of waxes or other materials that could act as a barrier to adhesion.
Tools and containers can be cleaned with water immediately after use.
Precautions:
Contains a mixture of 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazolin-3-one and 2-methylisothiazolin-3-one (3:1).
May produce an allergic reaction. Keep out of reach of children. In case of contact with eyes or skin, rinse carefully and completely with water.
The contents/container must be disposed of in accordance with legal / national / international / local regulations.
