Marcado CE

Field of application:

For smoothing and plastering precast, concrete, cement, as well as insulating and retaining boards prior to upholstery and painting work.

Filling of large deep surfaces in walls and ceilings.

Filling of cracks, holes, as well as grouting of plasterboards and other construction boards.

Plastering of limestone walls and flat elements.

Sealing joints in cement-finished ceilings.

Laying gypsum plasterboards.

Laying supports in installations, cabinets.

Interior use.

Lemon scented.

Composition:

White powder based on synthetic gypsum.

When mixed with water, a soft, paste-like mortar is obtained which, when hardened, adheres to walls and ceilings, whether they are made of masonry, concrete, cement, lime, plaster, cement plaster or construction boards.

ARDEX A828 has a high filling capacity, does not sag and layers of several cm thickness can be applied in a single pass.

ARDEX A828 is a breathable material and is suitable as a substrate for subsequent painting or gluing.

Substrate preparation:

The substrate must be rough, dry, hard and free of dust, dirt or other disintegrable elements.

Eliminate wallpapers, not very resistant paints and loose plaster.

Lacquers, oils, varnishes and similar substrates must be carefully cleaned before application.

All non-porous, waterproof substrates must be pre-treated with ARDEX P82 or ARDEX P4 primer. Porous substrates should be treated with ARDEX P51, diluted with water 1:3.

Directions for use:

Pour clear water into a container and mix the powder, stirring vigorously. Wait 1 minute and stir again until a homogeneous, creamy mixture is obtained.

To mix 25 kg of ARDEX A828, approximately 15 litres of water are required.

After a rest time of approximately 1 to 3 minutes, stir again. The mortar is ready for application within 1/2 hour.

The mortar is applied without sagging from joints, holes or cracks. The surface is thus free of cracks. In order to achieve smooth surfaces, the applied layer can be moistened after hardening and after 1/4 hour, pressed down hard with a fine trowel.

If in doubt, carry out a preliminary test. Work ARDEX A828 at temperatures above 5°C.

Post-treatment:

For subsequent painting or gluing, the applied coat must be dry.

Normally a second coat is not necessary to reinforce the first coat. However, depending on the filling capacity of the paint, an undercoat can be applied to improve uneven drying of the subsequent coat.

Finishes under waterproof bathroom coatings and water-resistant finishes, e.g. in damp rooms, shall be carried out with ARDEX F11.

General rule:

Protective strips between plasterboards can be dispensed with provided that the corners of the plasterboards are well laid out and allow complete filling of the joint (minimum thickness 3 mm).
