Product description:
Cement based powder, fast setting and special additives.
Maximum particle size 0.25 mm.
When mixed with water, a soft, pasty mortar with high workability is obtained.
The mortar has a fast setting time, is non-flammable, adheres strongly and without cracks.
Joints are quickly workable.
Instructions for use:
Clean water is poured into a mixing vessel and the powder is mixed into ARDEX JK mortar until a lump-free, homogeneous, pasty mortar is obtained.
Mixing ratio:
25 kg ARDEX JK: approx. 5 L water.
At a temperature of approx. 20°C, the mortar can be worked for approx. 30 minutes. Higher temperatures shorten the working time and lower temperatures lengthen it.
With a grouting spatula it is easy to push the mortar into the joints. Even the deepest joints can be filled in a single pass. The fast setting time allows for early washing out, without water washing out the joints.
ARDEX JK should be worked at temperatures above +5° C.
Recommendations:
In the case of porous surfaces or matt tile glazes, grout residues may stick. Therefore, grout tests on such surfaces cannot be dispensed with.
Subfloor moisture and differences in the absorption power of the tile edges can cause differences in the colour of the grout joints.
In case of doubt, it is recommended to carry out preliminary test work.
ARDEX WA epoxy resin mortar is recommended for use in medical baths, thermal baths, public swimming pools and other buildings subject to high stresses.
For grouting moisture-sensitive natural stone carved slabs, ARDEX MG marble grout should be used in interiors.
Warning:
