Product description:
Powdered grout based on cement and special fillers.
When mixed with water, a soft, doughy and productive mortar is obtained. It is easy to work with, non-flammable and has a high filling capacity. It sticks strongly without cracking. The joints after hardening are dirt-repellent.
Instructions for use:
Pour clear water into a mixing container and mix ARDEX BS until a lump-free, homogeneous, pasty mortar is obtained.
Mixing ratio:
25 kg ARDEX BS : approx. 5 litres of water.
5 kg ARDEX BS : approx. 1 litre of water.
The mortar can be worked at a temperature of 18 to 20°C for 2-3 hours and is applied with a rubber spatula pressing hard against the joints. Even deep joints can be made in a single pass. For dusting, use ARDEX BS by applying liberally.
A unique shade of colour can be achieved if the tiles are laid in a thin coat.
In a thick layer, the mortar must be very dry to avoid variations in the colour shade due to water evaporation. Grouted surfaces can be washed with a wet sponge; even after a long time the material can be washed. After drying, the mortar film can be removed with a damp sponge.
If in doubt, carry out a preliminary test.
Work ARDEX BS joint paste at temperatures above 5°C and below +30°C.
Recommendations:
When grouting porous or vitreous tiles and pieces, it is possible that mortar residues may stick to the grout. It is essential to test these tiles.
In case of treatment with acids, wash the joints beforehand.
The humidity of the substrate and the different absorption capacity of the edges of the tiles can lead to a variation in the colour of the joints.
For joints that have to be subjected to rapid loading, we recommend using ARDEX JK because of its rapid start-up time.
In spas and swimming pools, we recommend using ARDEX WA or ARDEX EG8, joint mortars with epoxy resin, resistant to chemical attack and aggressive cleaning.
For marble joints in interiors, it is recommended to use ARDEX MG, which prevents discolouration.
Precautions:
Contains cement, irritating to eyes and skin. Keep out of the reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical advice.
Wear suitable gloves.
After drying has no physiological or ecological effects.
