Field of application:
Mortar for the regularisation of facades.
Realisation of classic sgraffito, stucco, scraped, re-painted, etc.
Product description:
Improved cement-based powder, white in colour.
It is waterproof due to the addition of water repellents in its composition.
It does not shrink during the setting process, which prevents the appearance of cracks. Its excellent plasticity facilitates its application. It presents the necessary internal cohesion to prevent segregation, sagging or loss of material when properly applied.
Preparation of the substrate:
Surfaces must be clean, free of dust, loose particles, paint residues, oils, etc.
It is advisable that the surfaces have a certain porosity to achieve a better adhesion.
To improve the support to be coated, it is advisable to apply ADILATEX diluted with water in the proportion 1:5, in one or two coats depending on the absorption of the support or facing.
Instructions for use:
Pour clear water into a clean container and stirring vigorously, mix as much powder as necessary until an elastic, lump-free mortar is produced.
Approximately 4 litres of water are required to mix 25 kg of REVOPLAST powder. It is also mixed with water + ADILATEX in the ratio of 4:1 or 5:1.
The mortar thus prepared is spread with a clean, notched stainless steel trowel.
After 10-20 minutes, trowelling is carried out.
The thickness can vary between 1/2 and 2 cm, with an average of 1 cm being normal. For thicknesses greater than 1 cm, it is advisable to apply two coats, leaving at least one hour before applying the second coat.
It can be tinted with solid dyes under ultraviolet rays.
The final finish can be smooth or stony, a patina with paint, with mass staining or with ARDEX F3 restoration mortar, giving the traditional finish both in the field of high decoration and in the restoration of buildings.
Other recommended tools depending on the final finish are: plastic trowel, spikes or sponges. For sgraffito, use staples or blades suitable for the drawing. Stencils or stencils made of paper, cardboard, plastic or metal can be used.
For large surfaces, a spray machine can be used.
