Field of application:
Mortar for waterproofing all types of porous cementitious-based substrates: concrete, mortar, concrete block, cement renders,....
Waterproofs drinking water tanks, concrete walls and floors, basements and structures subject to both positive and negative water pressure. Suitable for waterproofing and protecting concrete foundations and retaining walls. Waterproof coating for tunnels and lift shafts.
Properties:
Powdered water-repellent mortar specially formulated for direct and indirect pressure waterproofing, penetrates concrete through its capillary system crystallising and protecting its structure.
Suitable for contact with drinking water.
Applicable on hardened or fresh concrete.
Permeable to water vapour, preventing the appearance of condensation, as it allows the walls to breathe. Can be applied on damp surfaces.
Protects and decorates surfaces to which it is applied.
Instructions for use:
The surface to be painted must be firm, free of dust, loose particles, efflorescence, etc.; to guarantee good adhesion, the substrate must be completely cleaned, if necessary.
Any irregularities, such as holes, cracks or fissures, must be corrected beforehand with repair mortar.
Moisten the substrate until saturation, but avoid puddling. Mix HUMISTOP HW0 with 6-7 litres of water to the desired consistency. The product can be applied by brush, brush or spray. Do not spread the material excessively; leave a good layer for better waterproofing. After 8 to 24 hours, the waterproofing treatment should be completed by applying a second coat crosswise to the first coat. Applied in this way, the consumption is 1-1.5 kg/m2 per coat for a total consumption of 2-3 kg/m2.
HUMISTOP HW0 can also be applied by dusting and trowelling on fresh concrete. When the concrete is strong enough to be walked on but can still be grouted by trowelling, the product is sprinkled evenly over the entire surface at a consumption of 1.5-2.5 kg/m2. The product is then watered and trowelled to achieve a monolithic surface film.
Do not apply at temperatures below 5ºC and not above 30ºC. Allow a minimum curing time of 7 days under normal conditions (20ºC and 50% R.H.) before subjecting the coating to permanent immersion. It should be noted that low temperatures and high relative humidities extend curing times.
Caution:
Contains cement, irritating to eyes and skin. Use suitable means of protection. Once dry, it has no physiological or ecological alterations.
