Screeds

Both the subfloor and the indoor climate conditions must comply with the requirements of the current standards and technical brochures. The only exception to this is the residual moisture content of the cement-based screed, if the primer is used as a barrier against capillary moisture.

Use as a moisture barrier is only permitted on screeds with permanent moisture resistance and for blocking capillary moisture.

If the humidity increases constantly to high levels and if vapour diffusion is used, the primer cannot be used, as the product does not replace good waterproofing of the building according to DIN 18195 Part 4.

Application

Shake the container well before use. The primer is applied with a WAKOL Primer Roller, velour roller or foam roller, avoiding the formation of puddles. Dilute WAKOL D 3080 Dispersion Waterproofing with water in a ratio of 1:1 and apply. Setting time for the first coat: at least 30 minutes. Apply the second coat of WAKOL D 3080 Dispersion Waterproofing undiluted in the opposite direction and allow to dry for at least 120 minutes.

Subsequent plastering with Wakol Smoothing Paste can be carried out within 72 hours on the second, already dried coat of WAKOL D 3080 Dispersion Waterproofing. Direct bonding over WAKOL D 3080 Dispersion Waterproofing is not permitted.

Work and environmental protection

Important information

Do not use at a floor temperature below +15 °C and an ambient temperature below +18 °C; the room humidity should preferably be between 40% and 65%, maximum 75%. The data refer to a temperature of approx. +20 °C and a relative humidity of approx. 50%. In cold climates, temper all installation materials in the heated room beforehand.

Do not use WAKOL D 3080 Dispersion Sealant on moisture-sensitive surfaces such as magnesia screeds, calcium sulphate screeds and wood-based panels, or on flooring materials such as tiles, PVC flooring, cushioned vinyl, rubber and linoleum.

We guarantee the consistently high quality of our products. All data are based on tests and many years of practical experience and refer to standardised conditions. The wide variety of materials used and the different conditions on construction sites, which are beyond our control, invalidate claims based on these data. We therefore recommend that you carry out sufficient tests yourself. Please observe the installation instructions of the flooring manufacturer, as well as the information sheets and the currently valid standards. We are otherwise at your disposal at
