Description

Seireasfalt is an agglomerate of modified bituminous binder and fine free aggregates of selected composition and particle size to achieve high storage stability and good mechanical properties when used for the repair of potholes and other irregularities of asphalt and concrete substrates. High durability of the repair due to the elasticity of the binder.

  • Non-flammable.
  • Stable packaging.
  • Quick and easy application at room temperature.
  • Rapid compaction.
  • Good adhesion to concrete and asphalt.
  • Good mechanical and abrasion resistance.
  • Long durability.
  • Indoor and outdoor use.
  • Environmentally friendly.

Field of application:

  • Repair and filling of potholes on roads, streets, garages, car parks, paths, etc.
  • Thin regularisation layers on small surfaces.
  • Filling of ditches and other irregularities on building sites.
  • Creation of small ramps, slopes, etc.
  • Levelling of sewers and manholes.
  • Indoor and outdoor use.

Preparation of the substrate:

The surface must be clean, free of dust, as well as foreign substances, grease and oils.

In order to increase the durability of the repair, it is recommended that the edges of the pothole are opened and cleaned by digging.

It is advisable, especially on concrete, to prime with a cationic emulsion applied at about 300 gr/m2.

Recommendations:

If at the time of application the product should present loss of workability due to low temperatures it can be recovered by warming it slightly.

Limitations:

Always use SEIREASFALT at room and/or substrate temperatures not lower than 5°C.

It may also not be applied at ambient and/or substrate temperatures above 35°C.

Method of application:

Pour the product directly from the container onto the pothole or irregularity to be treated and spread with a rake.

The loss of volume during compaction should be taken into account, so an excess of about 20% of the product should be poured so that it slightly exceeds the level of the pavement.

It is recommended not to apply a thickness greater than 3 cm. For greater thicknesses, pre-fill with fine gravel and/or apply several layers. In this case, each layer must be compacted before applying the next one.

After pouring, compact the product with a roller or rammer and optionally seal with sand.

Do not apply below 5ºC.

Consumption:

Approximate consumption of SEIREASFALT is 20kg/m² per cm thickness.

Tool cleaning:

SEIREASFALT can be cleaned from tools and equipment immediately after use using a solvent such as ARDEX RTC. In case the product hardens it can only be removed by mechanical means or organic solvents.

Residues/Spills:

Spillage of any of the products must be immediately scooped up with sand, vermiculite or other inert material and deposited in a suitable container for management.

Waste management of these spills and empty containers should be carried out in accordance with local legislation.

For further information refer to the safety data sheet.

Storage:

The shelf life of SEIREASFALT is 9 months, in the original closed containers and in an upright position. Storage should take place in a dry place between +5°C and +30°C. Protection from frost and direct sunlight and heat sources is required.

Precautions:

Prolonged use may cause allergic reaction. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor.

Mixing should be carried out with protective goggles and gloves. These safety precautions should also be observed when applying the product.

Ensure good ventilation of the room during handling. See safety data sheet for further information.
