Application and consumption*

WAKOL Primer Roller, 11 mm foam roller: 80-100 g/m² on non-absorbent screeds

WAKOL Primer Roller, 11 mm short-pile roller: 120-150 g/m² on absorbent screeds

* Consumption depends on the surface structure and absorption capacity of the screed.

Screeds

Both the subfloor and the indoor climatic conditions must meet the requirements of current standards and technical data sheets. Screeds must be permanently dry, firm, smooth, and free of cracks, dirt, and substances that impair adhesion.

Smooth surfaces are required for fixing SL carpet tiles; Therefore, screeds with a rough surface must be primed and puttied. The technical information for primers and smoothing compounds must be followed.

Access floors must be firmly bonded to the screed and their surface must be free of wax or care products.

Application

Remove the dispersion binder before use. Apply evenly to the screed using a WAKOL primer roller, foam roller, or short-pile roller, avoiding buildup of dispersion binder. When installing on double floor elements, ensure that WAKOL D 965 Dispersion Binding Agent does not penetrate between the panels. If necessary, protect the butt joints with adhesive tape. Once the binder layer has dried (transparently), lay the carpet tiles and rub in thoroughly. Rub again after a few minutes. For conductive installations, mix WAKOL D 965 Dispersion Fixer with WAKOL DL 352 Conductive Dispersion Fixer in a 4:1 ratio.
